Electrician*

Minimum Experience Requirements
Electrician: 4 years
Electrician Helper: 2 years
Summary of Employment Duties
- Reading diagrams and blueprints
- Inspecting electrical components and systems
- Determining electrical problems with testing devices
- Running conduit and pulling wire
- Setting poles and installing switchgear
- Installing, wiring and servicing light fixtures and lighting systems
- Installing and maintaining control and automation systems
- Wiring equipment, work stations and appliances
- Installing underground laterals, and primary and secondary feeders
- Following all state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code
- Directing and training workers to install, repair or maintain electrical wiring or equipment
